I have been in the US since August 94.
Was on F1 till November 97 and have been on H1 since 14Nov97
My 6 yrs of H1 expires in Nov2003.

My GC - Sponsored by company A (for whom I work off & on) is in process. I have my advance payroll, ead, finger printing is done, 140 is approved.

The multiple entry H1 visa stamped on my passport is for Company B - for who I no longer work.

In the meanwhile, I started working for a government agency (call it Company C) in November of 2002.
The H1 sponsored by the COmpany C got approved through 2006.
Which is an additional 3 years.
Is this a mistaken approval?

I got an appointment to get my visa restamped & revalidation in Mexico for next week.
Would I jeapordize my situation trying to get my visa revalidated?

I have gone on vacation out of the US and re-entered 3 times & there are 4 stamps on the visa with the dates of entry starting in Aug1994 through Aug 2001.

I want to get it revalidated, so that I can travel if needed.
Since I have my Travel Document and advance Payrol, do I even need to try to get my visa restamped?

Please advise ASAP - I have less than 2 days to cancel my appointment - if needed.

Thanks a bunch!

i do have the h1 approval notice - till may 2006 for company C i am working full time now.
when i started working for company C, i did not have EAD from company A who is doing my green card.
EAD was in process then.

If i go to get the visa stamped, would the visa stamping on the passport be based on the date on the new approval notice?

if u say i am not on h1 anymore, is it a problem?
if i leave the country & try to re-enter, would it be a problem?
what would the officer at the port of entry consider me to be on - would I be let to re-enter since i have my travel document?

since the h1 currently stamped on my passport is good through Nov2003, if i go to mexico to get it revalidated & am declined, can i re-enter USA showing my passport?
Can i re-enter usa showing my travelDocumet, advance payroll, ead?

thanks in advance for the advice.

since both my spouse & I have APs, if we travel outside the US & return, we should not have a problem at the port of entry as long as we show my AP - right?
thanks a bunch!
