H1/485 Issue. Please help

Hi gurus,
        I have just send my 485 documents to INS. My wife is currently on H4 and one company is willing to sponsor her H1. Can I go ahead and apply for H1 while her 485 is pending, but she is in H4 status. Please help me.

Why do want H-1 for your wife. Just apply for EAD card based on your I-485 and enjoy the ride.I am sure you will get EAD much earlier than H-1 and also you will be able to negotiate better with EAD
