hi,
As per USCIS, the H1 petition application number begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). In one of the discussion forum i found CSC/VSC...Do they also represent the application number!

I have my application number starting with WAC, and the current status of the application number is "Approval notice sent." Does this mean that my I-129 is ready? Can anyone pourin some info? and what should be the next step?

Regards,
vish

will the INS only will give the visa interview date range and the consulate for interview or

no. it's up to you. remember, a U.S consulate is not obliged to "issue" a Visa to _anyone_. the burden of proof lies on the Visa applicant. that being said, in most cases getting a Visa stamped shouldn't be a big deal (as long as you are well documented, of course).

your next step should be to make a Visa appointment in a U.S consulate and proceed. all consulates should have individual websites where you can find more specific application information.
