H Visa Stamping Appointment Dates in India

The Visa appointment availability schedule is only available for the month of May '07.
I have been closely following appointment availability schedule on the https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ website. Schedule is availabe only for one month into the future, which means I can plan a trip to India only a month in advance.

I do not want to make travel arrangements to India, unless I know that visa appointment dates are available. I am planning to travel to India in mid-June and return to the US inthe second week of July. It seems to me like I have to wait till mid-May to schedule a visa appointment in India and confirm my flight tickets.

Is this a valid assumption, or is there any other way I can findout the appointment availability and confirm my itinerary.

The dates for June are not yet released ... I had a similar question and got thsi info by e-mailing VFS.
 
Does that mean I have to wait till the June dates are released. If that's the case, then I will have less than a month to make my travel arrangements.

Is this what everyone travelling to India is going thru?

My friends are making travel arrangements (along with transit visa if necessary) before obtaining the visa interview dates.
