H-4B to J-1 and J-1 to H-4B

Hi

Is it possible for someone on H-4B visa to convert to J-1 visa (student exchange program) . And after the end of education in J-1 again convert back to H-4B.

If it is possible to do this. Is it safe to do something like that ? I mean does thi affect the chances of getting a H4-B visa after being on J-1 (lets say for a year in a student exchange program).

Also is it possible for someone to get admitted to a international student exchange program while staying in H-4B visa status.
