H-4 Status while I-485 pending

My wife's H-4 expires in Dec. We recently filed for our I-485 and got our Notice of Receipt.

Nonetheless just to maintain her status beyond Dec. I believe she will need to have her H-4 renewed, is that correct?

I would appreciate if someone could provide some input on this.
