Hello Everyone,
I filed for change of status from OPT(F-1) to H-4 before expiration of my OPT.
H-4 filed on April 18, 2007
OPT expired on May 12, 2007
H-4 approved from June 12, 2007 as per I-797c copy.
My question is will I be considered as out of status during that one month gap from May 12, 2007 to June 12, 2007.
Also I have received a courtesy copy of I-797c from USCIS which is without I-94. Original sent to Lawyer but have not heard from him.
My friend informed me that only original I-797c will have I-94 and not courtesy copy. Is that true?
I highly appreciate any response on this matter.
