Hello,
I was an H-1B visaholder but recently switched to H-4 (both visas are stamped in my passport). My original H-1B was valid until January 2004 (my current H-4 is valid until March 2004)... My question is if it's possible for an employer to do an H-1B transfer in my situation when applying for a job, even though I'm not technically going from H-1B to H-1B? The transfer would allow me to work almost inmediately rather than wait the 3+ months for approval, increasing the chances of an employer wanting to hire me... Does this make sense?... Would it complicate matters the fact that my spouse is going to start the green card process with current employer, and applying simultaneously for an H-1B would propably make the situation worse???
What if I decided to apply for a part-time only H-1B? Please, please, any input will be strongly appreciated... I need to work, I feel I'm wasting my time...and my life too... I hold a master's degree from a prestigious US university from 1999. Thank you.
