H-1B transfer date complications

I recently changed jobs and moved to a different company. My new company applied for a transfer and based on the receipt received on Jan 24th' 06 I started working with the new company starting Feb 20th' 06. After 2 months I got BCIS approval suggesting my H-1B is valid from April 18th'06 through Jan 17th'09. Does this mean my 2 months of work from Feb 20th'06-April 18th' 06 with the new company be considered illegal. Is it a cause of concern. Do I need to get my I797 amended again. Can someone please guide me?

I am in the same situation. My receipt date is 30th jan 06 and I started working in feb. Now I got my approval notice and it says valid from April 4' 06
I don't understand.
