H-1B to GC educational qualification question

Hi,
My company is currently filing for my H-1B for Oct 1,2004 based on my BS degree as MS is in persue but not completed.

i will be completing my MS in Dec 2004.

Is it true that as my H-1 will start from Oct 2004 based on my BS degree.
My MS degree will not count towards my GC processing as I was hired and got H-1 on the basis of BS (even though i plan to start the GC process after receiving my MS degree)
 
If the job/position you are taking up needs a ms degree then if you start working with a bs degree then it will affect your gc process as you cannot use your degree for gc.
