Recently a new option for H-1B visa holders to obtain permanent residency in Canada has been made available. The H-1B Alberta Program is a pilot project that has been recently introduced by the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), Alberta, Canada. The Alberta PNP H-1B project allows individuals who have a current U.S. H-1B visa to apply for Canadian permanent residency directly to the Alberta PNP provided that they meet the criteria. This is available to all H-1B visa holders. Kindly note that this is a completely different program from the point system. The processing time is approximately 6-18 months.

Global Immigration Law Group will be hosting a seminar discussing the H-1B Alberta Canada Program on February 7, 2009, from 9:30am – 12pm, at the Hilton, Universal City, which is next to Universal Studios. The address is 555 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City, California 91608. The number is 1-818-506-2500. Parking with validation is $9. Costs for the seminar are $30 per person. Please RSVP ahead of time so that we will have materials prepared for you. Space is limited. Registration and payment is accepted at www.InvestImmigrationLaw.com.
