Hello everyone,

Sorry to post it in this section as it's inrevelent to EB1/2 petition. But I thought many of you may have related expenience.

I am a postdoc with H-1B visa at a university, and a company has filed an H-1B petition for me this April. I will go to Canada for a conference this June.

My questions are: should I be advised to visit Canada in this period? If no problem, which status (university H-1B or industry H-1B (if approved)) will I be in the travel? What kind of documents do I need bring with?

Please give me some advises if you have similar expenience.

Thanks.

As long as you have valid H1B visa stamp, it will be fine. But you need to carry your most recent approval notice so that the date given on the new I-94 is the correct date when you reenter.
