H-1B going to school with spouse applying PR?

I am currently on H-1B. It is a bad job and I do not like it. I have not started my LC either. So I am planning to go back to school for more full-time study. My spouse submitted 140 and 485 and we have received EAD. Now if I go back to school, I understand that I will have to use AOS. If my spouse's 140 or 485 gets rejected, I will lose status and have to leave US. However, in this case, can I transfer to H-4 in order to continue my study? What is the possibility of getting 140 and 485 rejected? On what criteria is 140 or 485 usually rejected? Should I go to school now or wait till our PR is fully approved? I do not want to wait that long though...

Thanks for your help!

H-4 means you can't have scholarship/TA/RA from University.

If your spouce 140,485 rejected, she also has to leave USA. If she has valid h1 , then probably she will be able to continue(??) and hence you will be.

How long your spouce in H1?

If AOS is successful, your study will also continue. Judging between the scenario above This scenario will have more probability of success.
