Hello, can someone please answer my questions. I'm currently not sure what to do for my situation.
My B-2 tourist visa expired on July 29th. However, three weeks before July 29th I filed a B-2 extension (Form I-94) and also filed a Working Visa (H1-B) application. My working visa was appoved as of August 9, and becomes effective on October 1st. I have not heard anything regarding the extension. Am I still in status since I'm waiting for the response for the extension? What should I do if I receive a response about the extension before October 1st, the date the working visa becomes valid? Will I be out of status for the time being until October 1st? And lastly, how will this affect the 180day / 1 year re-entry ban IF i'm out of status?
