H-1B and pending AOS

Dear all,
Could you please share your experience to enter US on valid H-1B while AOS and AP is pending? If there are any delays or problems if you don't have AP? What extra documents do I need?
Your help is very much appreciated!
 
hi there,

can't answer for having AP- my husband is H1-B (I am H4) he has remained working with his sponsoring employer and we have travelled outside the US and back in with no problems without AP. The officer usually just asks what job you do, or where you work to check your validity.
