H-1B 7th year extension

Hi all,

My six-year expired last year. I then applyied for a seventh year extension. But the application was denied on the ground that I had been out of status for 19 days before the application was filed . So, what should I do? Another thing is that since when should I be considered as out of status - before or after the denial?

Can I stay in the U.S. legally while appeal?

Hi - I have a nother question: can I stay in the U.S. legally while I appeal for a denial?

Immediately after the denial. If you are still out of status and have passed 180 calendar days then you are facing a ban for 3 years(?). Did you talk to your attorney about this.
