H-1 to I485 pending

Hi There,
I filed my I-140 and I-485 togather last Dec. I got my AP, EAD and I-140 aproved already. I-485 is still pending.
At the mean time, my H-1 is still available but it will expire around next Feb.
My question is that do I need to renew my H-1B again when it expire on next Feb? One guy told me that if I leave US and coming back by using my AP, my H-1B will became useless , even I want to renew it, INS will deny my request. Is this true?

You can extend the H1 and you should just incase there is some future problem in your 485. You can enter AP and still maintain H1 status if u are working for same employer....
