H-1 Renewal

Hey all,
I have filed the I-485 about 3 months ago. I haven't received my EAD yet and my H-1 is about to expire. I am now thinking about renewing my H-1 and was wondering if that will have any impact on my I-485 status. Will my I-485 has to be re-filed or will the processing go on with the original RD? Thanks in advance.

Filing for H1B renewal will not affect your I485 application. If you have both EAD and H1B, you can choose any 1 of them for working (I9 requirement).

H1B approval itself is taking about 3 months. But once you file your H1B renewal, you can continue working even after your current H1B visa expires.
