h-1 period ending

hi, i am img doing redisency.my h-1 expires july 2006.iam in 3rd year internal med residency.my 6 yr period ends in 2006.havent applied for g.c.how do i go about?work under niw?

Do you have EAD as you have applied for GC ?
You could work on EAD if you have it.

no i havent filed for g.c.i am still a resident.can i go for niw by working in hpsa?

I am also in the same boat

Hi,

I am also in the same boat, I am going to complete 6th year H1B visa by Jun 11th. I will be shortage of two months to complete my residency but my program is agreed to waive those two months with research work.

Still I don't know what to do, just I am waiting and I am planning to switch to H4 and complete my residency by doing 2 months research.
