My friend has worked here on H-1b visa for 6 years with a break of 9 months (he worked back in India for that 9 months time after his first year
in the U.S., for an Indian company). When he applied to reclaim those lost 9 months back on his H-1, the INS by mistake or whatever
reason gave him back 2 full years.
My question is, since INS has given the extension, can he continue to work for the 2 full years or would it cause any problems?
Would it cause him any problems when he goes for his greencard interview(Consular Processing or I-485)?
Please advise. Your tips will be appreciated very much.
Thanks.
