i am 23 years old guy, who have a Jordanian Citizen(Arabian citizen)...
Last summer i've participated in a program called "Work & Travel 2004", through my university, its a program that allow u to obtain a J1-Visa, so u will be allowed to Work and Live in the states up to 4 months!
After applying for the J1-Visa, me and other guys from my university, we have all been put On-Hold (Adminstrative Processing Time), and after one week the embassy called all guys to obtain thier visa, but they didn't call me..
And then they called me to come and take my Visa after 2 MONTHS! ...
all of my friends have been stamped with: "Barrier is subject to (212e) Restriction" ... but i am the only one who was not subejct to the 2 year restriction .. thanx god!
And now i participated again in the same Work & Travel Program on 19 May, and i've put On-Hold again, and now its 19 Aug. and i haven't been issued the Visa YET!
i've been On-Hold for 3 months till now, and god only knows when i will be issued the Visa! ... and every time i call the embassy they tell me that i have a "Common Name Problem" althought i went to the states the last year!
Is there anything i can do, like someone to talk to, or email ... to speed up my application!....
