Gurus: Work on 1099/W4?

Hi Gurus,
I opted for concurrent I-140 and I-485 processing (RD: Feb 25, 2004)

I just got my I-140 approved on Aug 18th. 180 Days have passwed since I filed my I-485. I am looking for a job change and mostly getting contract positions with consultancy/employment agencies ready to place me on 1099/W4 (presently I get W2). Can I go for it or I will have to find another full-time job only? In such a case who will send a AC21 for me?

Can I work in my state as floating consultant?

Please reply as I am getting offers and need to decide on this soon!
 
You need employer to back up your I-485 even if you decide to go for AC21.

You have to be on payroll to be eligible for I-485 petition. Just prey to god that you don't get ant RFE during I-485 stage in case you decide to float around as a consultant.

Damn :( Working for present employer sucks. Thanx for ur info. I will try look for a perm job.
