Gurus! US green card and then apply for Canadian PR?

Gurus,
Please help me on this. I have read a lot of similar posts in the forum and got badly confused:)

1) Can someone legally have US greed card and Canadian PR at the same time?

2) If someone has a US green card stamp on her passport. Can she apply for a Canada PR?

3) After she landed in Canada as an immigrant, can she comes back into US with her green card?

first of all why are you interested in keeping both canadian & US PR what is the reason for that
secondly how can you maintain the PR requirements for both the countries

if the US border authorities find that you have canadian PR then chances are that they might
take your US green card away unless you can prove that you are maintaining both for a very solid reason
 
Yes, I think you can keep both only for about 6 months...

afterwards one or the other will lapse based on the residency
requirements.
I checked with my lawyer, he said that there is no effect of having
a Can PR on 485 application processing and passsport stamping after
approval of 485, but finally you have to choose a country to reside
in.

I dont know for sure if the otherway around is true. I think Canadian
Authorities at the border will require some convincing when you land.

When I landed , they asked me if I was landing for good, what are the
future plans etc, but I dont think they checked my passport for
any other visas/stamps etc.

different lawyers will tell different.

Also the view from Us and Canadian sides will be different.
