In the BCIS New Website Look and feel, In my portfolio when i enter EAC Number for I-485 It says Last update 2/13/2004.

But my case status Online still says the First Fingerprint and processing is resumed.
My second FP is done on 12/16/2003.

Does that 2/13/2004 date means any thing??

Gurus any suggestions.
 
"Last updated Date" is raising lots of questions. You will find the meaning on the same page. It's written in the text format.

Basically what you said is correct and that's what the text format on the bottom will tell you that anytime some update is done to your case that date will change, however the original online message won't change.

For ex:
My online message states that RFE was received on April 16th, 2004 and then the "last updated date" is April 19th.

However, i haven't received any notification or anything.

That date is for real!!! i have read on other websites where the date goes back to year and people cases have not been touched.

AGAIN, everything with BCIS is mysterious!!!

They always leave us in the LIMBO..... instead of providing straight forward answers!!! If they would send the notification of whever the case is updated then that is much better then guessing what might have happend with the case!!!!

I think that this date could reflect when your application was last touched or opened in any way, shape or form... Which means, someone did look at it in February of this year, possibly good news...

Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email Notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.
 
I hope its a good News. I think its about time, we all who are waiting for 2years or more should be approved but you never know with BCIS.

The word clearly and the concept of non-visible internal processing are not compatible, I believe that is at the root of all the questions on this in the past 2 days. Is internal processing a server update? Case update? Person opening the file? person changing the file? Take your pick... Ah, the wonderful breezeness of vagueness...:p

I got email at my yahoo account this morning and when checked it, it was a RFE message... No physical letter yet though...

Really weired ...
 
We had our fingerprints taken in Apr '03 and was duly updated. Later we got a 2nd FP notice by mistake in Jul '03 and without ignoring it we went for another FP. In Aug '03 my husband applied for EAD, and in the process his 485 status changed to FP received in Jul '03. Mine remained the same.

So, my husband's last updated date should be Nov '03 and mine as Apr '03. But the last updated time for both of us says the same Apr '03. How is it possible? Again an USCIS mystery.
