My I-485 has been pending for 4 months now..I-140/Eb2 has been approved too
My company is taking over a new name,the TAX-ID and the stock symbol
remains the same and my job remains the same too..will this name change impact my GC process..Should I inform the Service center?
My lawyer says nothing is needed since the tax-id is the same..and asks me to retain the docs and press release statement of the comp name change
untill I file for citizenship...in case of any query later down the line..
pls advise

Lawyer is right - you dont have to do much if only the company name is changing

You would not need anything additional at the moment. Down the lane if they request further information, then the effective date of the Merger/Acquisition and the new company name would suffice. Please retain that information from your employer for the records. Your lawyer will be able to furnish more info as and when needed.
