My case situation is like this:
June 1999 NIW was denied. Aug 1999 appeal sent to INS Nebraska. Nov 1999 case tranfered to AAO in Washington DC. April 16 2001 received letter from AAO saying appeal was approved.
Now still waiting for the I-140 approval from INS Nebraska. A lawyer told me it could take up to 2-6 months (!!!) to get it from INS. Then another lawyer told us she would (with a legal fee, of course) ask INS to immediately issue us the approval within 1- 2 weeks.
I-485 gurus, please help! Any one with a similar experience??
