GUrus, Please Help..Using AC 21 Form

Please need experts advice.

I am working for a company XYZ from 2001. Company applied for my GC in 2002. Before they applied GC, they took a contract that I should work atleast one year after I get the GC. Incase, I leave the company before one year, I would re-imburse all the expenses to the company that they have sepnt on my GC. I filed 140/485 on May 26, 2004. 140 is approved on OCT 10, 2004. Recently given finger prints on March 11, 2005 and applied for second EAD/AP (Self & Spouse) on March 29, 2005.

The issue is my company is really exploiting the GC filers. They dont increase the salary at all for the employees for whom they files GC just because they know very well that we will not leave the company untill we get the GC. In the past 4.5 years, my salary has been increased by just 8% and that includes a promotion (all other employees get a standard of 5% increase every year). when asked, they give all stupid reasons like no budget for the group. I even argued with the company HR about this last year and they give all stupid reasons (if there is no budget for the company, why all others are getting 5% increase?)

I am desperately waiting for my 485 to be cleared but its very uncertain and seems like waiting for an Oasis in a desert.

My wife came on H4 in 2003 and is working for a different company on EAD now.

I want to change my job ASAP. Is it wise to change the job at this moment or should I continue with the same company until I get the GC?

Can I use AC 21? If so, Should I conitnue my GC process with the same attorney as of now (Company Attorney is very good) or should I approach another attorney? How does that work?

I really dont feel like working for this company at all. My wife who has joined a year ago in the same position as me in a different company is earning more than me.

Could some one please advice me to get out of this prison?
 
dude,
you sound tired and frustrated. I would say, take it easy and think more before using any of these legal clauses like AC21 etc. Use it if you do not have any other options else, suck it up for some more time. Trust me it will be all fine. Companies are here to do business, so its all negotiation. The money that they are putting in for your GC is compensated by not giving you raises..so that they can normalize the spending uniformly across all employees.. Nothing is free. So do not feel bad.
