Gurus Please Help (urgent)

MY DETAILS:
EB2-INDIA PD-04/29/1999 RD-02/16/2000 ND-02/24/2000 FP-03/22/2001

I did not apply for EAD/AP.

My H-1 extension (approved April 2001) is valid upto April 2003 and so is my wife\'s H-4 extension (approved April 2001), although our H-1/H-4 VISA stamps have expired.

My wife has an EAD (approved December 2000) but she never used it to work (but she did use the EAD to obtain her social security number).

She applied for her AP last week.

Questions:
1. Is my wife on H-4 status or EAD status? (I am not sure if EAD is a status)
2. Can she travel to India before she gets her AP approval? (I will mail the approval to her in India after it comes thru\')
3. Can she get her H-4 visa stamped in India?

At present you and spouse r in AOS pending status that is fine.You also have H1.
For the second question we had the same idea but on checking with the local office found out that AP has to be approved before leaving.
Just want to tell that there have been nd Jan cases approved and you r nd is Feb.It is better to be cautious not to venture out now.You never know with the ways of INS.
