I have a question on if you have more than one I-485 applications pending. Here is the case. Any help would be much appreciated.
My wife and I are both working.
I filed an I-485 application through my employer with my wife as a derivative.
My wife also filed an I-485 application through her employer with me as a derivative on her application.
We each got two LIN#s for I-485, two LIN#s for I-765 (EAD) and two LIN#s for I-131 (Advanced Parole) receipts - one for the primary applicant and another one for the derivative. However, we only have ONE Alien # (A #). So on two LIN#s for my I-485, I have the same A # on the application receipts (thankfully).
We each got a biometric appointment on our derivative applications that we got completed. The fingerprints went through fine.
We both later got two more Biometric appointments on our primary application. When we went for fingerprinting, ASC did not let us take the fingerprints again, saying that we have gotten fingerprints already once even though we had two different LIN #s associated with each Biometric appointment.
Has anyone gone through similar situation? What is your advice?
Could our I-485 applications get abandoned as there are no fingerprints for 'primary' applicants? Or, they will still be fine since we each have only one A# that connects both these applications.
