Gurus Please Help....SSN with EAD for Spouse

Gurus,

Here's my question.

My 485 is applied on May 30, 2002

RD - 05/30/2002
ND - 05/31/2002
FP - 07/13/2002
EAD Approved - 08/24/2002 and valid till 08/23/2003
WAC-02-197-5xxxx

Later Got married and applied 485 for spouse.

RD 07/30/2002
ND 07/31/2002
FP 09/26/2002
EAD approved 11/21/2002

I used a friend's address in San Jose to apply AOS for myself and spouse.

She's on H4 and now she is planning to work.


My qustion is, is it OK to obtain SSN from a different state (since I am working in a different state now)

If I try to obtain SSN for my spouse in different state does it trigger RFE ?

Whats the best thing ? I mean going to San Jose and applying SSN or The place where I am working now.

Please help me folks.

Just take your wife to local SSN office with her EAD card, passport and old SSN card (if she has any). I don't think you will get RFE for that.
 
No need to worry man, chill out

Just go to local SSN office and apply for SSN, My wife did from Boston where as our case was in CSC.
SSN is independent of service centers
 
Go to local SSN administration office and apply for the same.. Her EAD card should be enough for her to get the SSN.
