Can any body give information on how one can "Get his/her Indian Passport" Renewed quickly?

I have no prior experience, but friends have renewed at Indian consulates, it shouldn\'t take long. visit an Indian
consulate and you can get the details.

The renewal process is very simple at NYC. You can check their website
"indiacgny.org" or "http://www.indianembassy.org/" for more details.

At NYC you can get it on the same day if you go there personally before 11:00 AM.

Go to Indian Counsulate sites, they have the helpful information. If you are from NY region here is the site. http://www.indiacgny.org/forms.html. I have done my passport renewal and got renewed within week.

I renewd mine in Washington DC. It just takes a day. You can also get it done by mail. Just call the nearest embassy and ask for details.

You shoould be able to renew in one day if you go to the consulate, infact I got a brand new passport done in one day in NY city Consulate my passport was expiring and it was already renewed once before. But if you do it by mail like sheffs said it can take upto a week.

Which state you are from? If it is SFO: They have made instructions available on web. They changed them later but not updated on web. I have done at SFO. I submitted in person and got it by mail.

If you live around DC, you can visit Indian Embassy and get it done in same day by paying some fee or collect in person next day or ask them to mail it to you.
