I am working for company A on H1B now. Recently I have my H1B revalidated in Dept of state, therefore I plan to go on an international trip 11/10 - 11/28.
This week, I get a new offer from Company B. I am planning to join in Company B as soon as possible (eg 12/01, after I come back from the trip). Company B will sponsor for my H1 transfer. They plan to file the paperwork as early as 11/05.
My question is:
1. I heard that I can work based on the H1B transfer receipt instead of the actuall approval notice, is this correct? I just need a confirmation.
2. Suppose the transfer receipt is received by company B some time in late November, can I still use the revalidated H1 visa to come back to US even though it is based on company A?
3. At the port of entry, do I need to let the officers know about the ongoing H1 transfer process?
4. Suppose my H1 transfer gets approved next spring, can I still use my company A based revalidated H1 visa to enter US? Do i need to let the port office know?
Thank you for your help!
