Hello,
Here is my information:
RD: August 2001
ND: September 2001
FP: March 2002
RFE: Sept 2002
RFE received: Oct. 2002
AD: ???
As you can tell, I have been waiting for the approval for over 22 months and my first FP has expired. I kept calling IIO and all they can tell is it may take longer.
I have accepted a new job offer and will start in late August. It is a similar position with a higher pay. However, I will move to a different state with a different center. I heard of using AC21(???) if necessary but do I need to initiate it first?
Can anybody suggest that what do I need to do? It seems so unusual that my case takes so long. Since I didn't receive any 2nd FP notice, I was wondering if my case has been lost.
Is keeping silence and wait to see what happens next a good idea? Next time I call, what kind of question I can ask IIO to check to see if my case is still physically there?
By the way, my employer helped me through I-140 and let me to submit my I-485 all by myself so there's no lawyer to represent me. It is too late to hire a lawyer now to take care of this issue?
Thanks and any suggestion is greatly appreciated!
