Sub: Company name change after 485 filing.
After filing for 485 while working in company A which a subsidiary of
Company B, is acquired by B, resulting the
change of name of company A to B.
Also, the Fed. Tax payer ID of Company A gets changed to B.
Now,
Case 1: 485 is already approved just after name change and and passport
is stamped, does the company B needs to inform INS for
successor-in-intererest?
Case 2: If the 485 is not approved yet, does the company B needs to
inform INS for successor-in-intererest?
Pl. comment and also, share your experience if any body has gone through
the same/similar situation..
