Gurus: I485 Part 3C memberships question

We were told that that for I485 Part 3C memberships (the form says" List your present and past membership in or affiliation with every organization, association, fund, foundation, party, club, society or similar groupin the United States or in other places since your 16th birthday. Include any foreign military service in this part. If none, write "none." Include thename(s) of organization(s), location(s), dates of membership, from and to, and the nature of the organization(s). If additional space is needed, use aseparate piece of paper."), we do not need to list professional memberships like IEEE or things like that, as this part mainly asks for political/military affiliations.

List all the associations that you are a member of. If you are a member of your local Indian Association, include that. If you are a member or a life member of any professional organization, list those too.

I'd list (and have listed) every organization you have a membership card from or pay membership dues to. Of course, excluding things like frequent flyer miles programs, AAA, etc. (consumer organizations)
