Gurus help me out CP vs 485

I have an I-140 approval and now i want to go for CP.
how long will it take from now to when i will be able to go
for CP if request my attorney for the same.

I heard that 485s are also pretty fast these days but i hear
cases which have been stuck for almost ages and all wierd things
happen to them.

So gurus please advise what is the way to go in a case like this
CP or 485, what are the +s and -s.

I will really appreciate your inputs about the same.

it depends

If your case has no complications, then CP is the best option.
If you were out of status before etc., then AOS is recommended.
If ur 140 is approved for 140, you are looking at 3-6 mos to finish ur CP,
if not, it depends on ur service center in the process of I824 and the
consulate if they accept AC140.
