Gurus: Does receiving RFE means Name Check is completed???

Friends, today I receive emails (26 identical ones ) from USCIS asking for RFE, which is definitely better news.

Our inquiry through senator on 6/22/05 shows that I was stuck in Name Check (did not say in detail when Name Check request, etc.). Now that today USCIS ask for RFE, does that mean my name check was completed, and USCIS then resume the process of our cases? Or it is totally unrelated and I am still stuck in name check ??

Please share your opinion, really appreciate it!!

i was stack in name check from 12/29/2002 till 6/23/2005.
i had RFE (EVL, tax forms, etc) in April 2004. The cover letter for RFE said "your EVL and etc. are not current"

so, it may be that they decided to send you RFE after name check was completed, but may be not

Thank you for you reply. It's totally outragous that your name check took 2.5 years to complete! I thought I was unlucky...

Did you just wait till it is completed, or you asked Senator / congressman / attorneys for help?

I do hope that RFE means my name check is over...

I think RFE's are sent though your Name check is pending..

dima66a...how do you know your name check is completed.
Also is it safe to assume that everyone who received Biometrics without Approval ARE PENDING security check / name check ?
