Hi Cpgurus,

I just got a employement letter from my company and wanted to check if it is allright. Please post your opinions as to what should be changed added or deleted. Any response appreciated.

RE: Immigrant Visa of Mr. ?????????


Dear Sir or Madam:

Please accept this letter as a summary of the agreement for employment that exists between XXX and the above-referenced individual. Mr. ????????? is currently employed by XXX as a [JOB POSITION ] since July xx, yyyy and works a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and receives an hourly salary of xxx$ with benefits.

[COMPANY DESCRIPTION IN 2-3 LINES WITH REVENUE AND OTHER INFO]

[DESCRIBES MY JOB FUNCTION IN 2-3 LINES ].

Upon his return to the United States with an immigrant visa Mr. ????????? will be employed in the same position for which certification was obtained from the U.S. Department of Labor and for which an I-140 Petition was filed and approved on his behalf with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). He will be paid a salary of not less than xx$ per hour.

I do not have enough information to say that this format will not work.
Maybe some members who have taken the employment letter in this format will comment on this.

Having said the above, is it possible to ask your employer to put a consolidated amount by annualising the hourly rate ( Ex: 160 * 12 * Rate per hour ) or something like that?.

My co-brother who is attending the interview this month is also working hourly, but he got a letter from his employer with a lumpsum salary figure.

I am not suggesting that you must do that. Just wait for comments from other members.

can you post a good sample letter
my company would just use that as a template and get it to me
please provide the same, attach as a word doc if any has.
I have asked it many times no responses, it will help and i can buy a sandwich from Potbellys ;)
