Got approval emails in mail on the 18th and got the courtesy copy in main on the 22nd. Lawyer also called me ont he 22nd to notify that he got the approval notice too and he has send it to me (so I should get that today too)
PD somewhere in May 2002.

140 AD 8 April, 2003
1st EAD AD 17th July 2003 - 2nd EAD AD 17th May, 2004
1st AP AD August 5, 2003 - 2nd AP AD 18th October, 2004
1st FP February 6, 2002
2nd FP July 20, 2004 (went earlier than scheduled)
485 LUD stayed 31st Dec 2002 untill FP2 results were received
485 LUD then changed to July 28 2004 to indicate FP2 results received.
LUD never changed untill 18th Nov morning, and I felt so good. I was thinking that now maybe in a month or so I will get my approval, and to my biggest surprise I got the approval email later that day.
LUD again changed on the 19th Nov (I am guessing that was to indicate that the snail mail was send out or something like that)
22nd Nov I got the courtesy copy of the approval via snail-mail.
No RFE, very straightforward case. Graduated school in 2000 and have been working with the same company ever since then. I was on H1B untill March 2004 (that is when my first 3 years of H1B expired and we didn't renew it since I had the EAD already)
I hope that lot more approvals follow suite to keep up the spirit of the holiday season.
