My notice date is 16th Nov'2001 and I have 2'nd Fp done in June and they received in July'03. My rfe was also received by them on Sept'30. and the message now says processing resumed and blah blah blah.

I asked my lawyer to send a fax to BCIS (CA) to know about my status and this is what she replied.

Hi xxxx

The processing times that the INS give out are not official. I have Adjustment cases from October 2001 that still have not been processed. INS will not respond to an inquiry unless it is 6 months outside of processing time. Since they are claiming they are working on December cases you are only 1 month outside of processing time at the moment.

Regards,

1)The dates posted by USCIS are termed as 'Processing Dates'.and on USCIS official web site.Is it not official in your lawyer's view ?
2)One that displayed when you access case number is termed as'
It is taking between XXX and YYY days for us to PROCESS this kind of case.' Further it mentions-
If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from the BCIS within the ''projected processing time frame''*please contact the National Customer Service Center.''
The processing time mentioned is of 2) and of not 1)as seen from the above.?
How lawer is interpreting the processing time as in 1)?
Strange.

Send the fax yourself and also call the NSC and initiate an enquiry for whatever its worth.

Vision, lemme tell ya a funny story.

I was once talking to my lawyer cribbing about how long it's taking and he needs to keep sending faxes. My lawyer told me that it's no use, and if I don't believe him, I should go to immigrationportal.com and ask Silly Man instead and he will tell me the same thing.
