Passport Stamping Done at SF

Guys,

I did my passport stamping at SF today. The whole process was painless and took about 1 1/2 hours.
I took BART from Fremont, The INS office is about 12-15 mts walk from the Bart station.

Urgert!!! need to travel to India after finger printing ...

Hi Gurus

  I have a problem regarding my travel . My wife and I applied separately for CP and 485(july RD) respectively both dependent on each other . my wife\'s finger printing has been done and are waiting for approval.When I talked to IIO, they said that the case is not yet assigned to an officer and will take a month to assign the case. mean while my CP interview date has been given and i cannot postpone it as i did that in the past. What are the possible immigration issues at the CP interview and while coming back to US.

Is it better to use the advance parole or the H1B while travelling
(EAD is not yet used/activated).
 
When should we inform INS about the parallel processing.

Finally approved on Feb 22nd. My case was never in the state of "process resumed". It was always "process pending" until it got approved.

Congratulations, randy7000. Good news for "review pending" folks like...

Rjngh2000 and others. Looks like that is just an AVM glitch. Looks like July cases have been consistently assigned. Wish all July filers sppedy luck.

May case is assigned to an officer on Feb 6. When can I get the approval? How long it takes to approve after assigning to the officer?

Used to be 3-4 weeks after case is assigned. Lately we have seen...

some approvals in 1-2 weeks after assigned. You case is close to 3 weeks from assignment. So, you I expect a posting from you saying "aproooooved" anytime now. You are so close, you can smell it, see it, touch it and do whatever else you want to do with it! :)
