Greencard typo correction

My daughter is 8 years old. We received her Greencard days ago. I found they made a mistake on her birthday on the card.

I called the 800 number of Immigration Nebraska Office.

They told me I had to go to INS local office (ST PAUL MN) to file a I-90 form.
I told them that means to me a day off work and 8 hours driving and I asked them "can I e-file the I-90 form?" The answer is no.

They asked me to bring the greencard and copy of the card, passport, 2 photos, proof of their mistake (other wise they will charge me $185).

I told them we are leaving for China on June 5th. Can my daughter use her passport stamp to reenter US? They said no, because the actual plastic card (the green card ) has already been issued. I asked them "can we use this card with the typo on it?" They answered " no, that may cause problem".

Then I said I do not think we can get a new card before June 5th. They replied," the St paul office should be able to issue something to let my daughter reenter US".

Obviously we can not change our airline tickets. We will pray we can get info pass appointment before June 5th, and the officer at St Paul office will issue something for my daughter to come back into US.

What is my feeling now? Frustrated.

the list of materials I need to bring

Please check the list of materials I need to bring with me when we go to the St paul office. I do not want to miss anything and make a second trip. Thanks

infopass appointment

When I tried to make an infopass appointment. On the website it said I have the option to e-file I-90. This is contrary to what I heard from Nebrask Service Center. Which one is correct? Thanks
Please reply soon. because I do not have much time left. Thanks

You can e-file I-90 and you can use the GC with the typo for your trip.

The CS have no clue what they are talking about.

Local ASC

I called local ASC, they told me I can file I-90 through them and even do passport stamp at their office (which I have done at St Paul office). They also told me I can use my daughter's passport stamp to let my daughter reenter US.

But I checked form I-90. It clearly said in the instruction to the form that I-90 should be filed through USCIS local office, not a ASC.

Everthing is confusing. Do not know what to do.
