Greencard for CR-1 immigrant

I am a CR-1 immigrant. How long does it take to get greencard after you enter the United States? Do I have to do anything or just wait for it to come in mail. What about social security card? They will mail it or I will have to go to the Social Security Office and apply for it. Your experiences please. Thanks.

Were you not given this information when your Immigrant Visa was approved?

You should receive your GC approximately 60 days after entry. If you don't receive it by then contact USCIS.

If you haven't already done so, you can apply at any SS Office when you arrive after which it will be mailed to you.
