Greencard - finger printing

Got my GC couple of months agao. changed my Employer recently and planning to india. Do i need to take an appointment in US consulate there for
any stamping like Index finger printing on the passport or any other sort of procedure needs to be taken care of . This is my first visit after getting GC. Do i need to take any letter from my current employer ? Any help in this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
I assume you are in the United States right now and that you are going to India for a short time (i.e. holiday). Provided you have an unexpired passport with a green card stamp, you do not need to have anything else.

I do not believe you need employment letters. However, I carried a couple of recent paystubs with me when I went abroad in Feb this year. A habit of excessive documentation ingrained since my student days.
