Green Card Timing

Assuming a GC interview results in sucess, I understand that you get a stamp in your passport before getting the real card. How long after getting that stamp are you free to work for a different employer (on L1 at the moment) What happens if my sponsoring employer lays me off REAL soon after getting that stamp.

Sean,
Check cptracker.com for time lines based on your POE. INS is OK if you are laid off soon after you get your geen card. Issue comes when you resign within a month or two after you get your greeen card(Not necessarily plastic card). Visit immihelp.com for more info..
