Hi, every one
i got divorce, after appling my perment G.C(unconditional). I am worried for one thing, i received my permenent green card (unconditional) two months after the divorce. now i am eligible for citizenship. Is their any problem in my case.

Before your 10-year card was approved, did you notify USCIS of the divorce and file for a waiver?

I assume you're expecting to apply for citizenship based on the 5-year rule, because the divorce makes you ineligible for 3 year rule.

Without notifying USCIS of your divorce, they will argue the permanent green card you had was approved in error. Filing for citizenship will immediately raise a red flag since they check the divorce dates and I-751 approval dates as part of the process.

In your own interest,, you may want to consult an attorney and/or notify USCIS of this omission otherwise you risk having your green card revoked and put into removal proceedings when it comes to their notice.
