My husband-to-be is an american citizen (born in Hawaii), he has criminal record (convicted for drugs), was arrested and stayed in jail for one year...this was 10 years ago
Today he works as a waiter and goes for AA meetings, he has a bad history of credit as well
Do you think this can be a problem for me to get my green card? I don't have any criminal record
Hope you can help me
Thank you
Kelly

So, you love this guy right?...

Unless he has a warrant for his arrest or something. I do not see a problem, except for when it comes to fulfilling the I-864.

He must be able to sponsor you, or find a co-sponsor to sign along with him. To meet the poverty guidelines.
