Green Card sponsorship after 180 days on 485

I have spend more than 180 days on 485 status. If I do take another job does the new company have to sponsor my green card or how does this work? I am not sure from the actual INS issues point how much is left in my case except to wait for the card and incase an RFE is issued to go to them with latest paystubs and employment letter from the current employer. Also I am not sure what costs are still involved in my case that the new employer will have to incur incase they decide to continue my sponsorship assuming they do have to sponsor.

The reason I am asking this is because a lot of companies now are very reluctant to sponsor candidates and most don't even look at resumes where sponsorship is a requirement. I would therefore like to avoid putting that as a requirement on my resume if I don't have to and can just get away with gettng a regular job with a new comany and present their employment letter and pay stub incase an RFE is issued in my case.

One more thing, my EAD says no restrictions. Does this mean I don't need a sponsor now.

Awaiting reply.

- No, the new co. does not have to sponsor you again. All they have to provide you is a letter of employment for a full time job in the same category as your LC.

incase an RFE is issued to go to them with latest paystubs and employment letter from the current employer.

- you can go with the paystubs etc. from your new employer.

Also I am not sure what costs are still involved in my case that the new employer will have to incur incase they decide to continue my sponsorship assuming they do have to sponsor.

- there is no cost the new employer will need to pay.

- Use EAD and you will not require to be sponsored. If you want to be on H-1 status, you will still need to be sponsored.

- EAD never has any restriction excpet time. It will just say it is valid until .... Yes, you are free to work for any employer without sponsorship on EAD. You can do - additional job, part time or full time job, at Mac or at IBM or anywhere using EAD.
