Green Card Sponsoring Company & Citizenship

Hi All,

Is it a must that one should have worked for the GC sponsoring company after obtaing GC(Employent based green card)?

What happens if the sponsoring company is not in business when GC is approved? As already 180 days would have been passed filing I-485 the applicant can work for a different company and if there was no RFE from USCIS, it is not necessary to inform USCIS about the new job.

In this case when filling N400, for the last 5 years employment history, will there be any problem as the applicant hasn't worked for the sponsoring employer after obtaing GC.

Please advise.....

I know a colleague who had done exactly what you did and did not face any problems while getting citizenship.

Thanks for the info. Do you think luckily that has not been noticed by USCIS? Others please share your views!
