Green Card Received

I-485 RD Apr. 2005, approved Dec. 2005 (EB2, non-retro.)
Card received 3 days after approval!

Is your RD at the begining of April or end of April? Could you post all your LUDs on I-485? I'm trying to get a clue from them.

No, I did not receive any RFE for the I-485.

My RD is April 1, 2005. The only LUD is 04/21, with no message change (probably caused by fingerprinting). I did not get any other LUD or change of message or auto-generated email - I just got an email from a CSC officer and the green card in the mail a few days later. The online status message never changed: it is still the same as back in April (application received...).

ICG,

You applied for 485 using your Orignal Labor or substitue labour?

That is amazing. May I ask what that officer emailed to you? I bet you were pretty surprized to recieve the GC without any Message updates... I would be surprized.

Congratulations ICGwaiting on getting your GC. Do you know whether it is required to get the passport stamped ( I 551 - ADIT stamp) from the local office, even when you have been issued palstic Green card? Is the plstic card good enough to travel abroad even when you do not have I 551 stamp in your passport?

helponline1,

Even I can answer that. Yes, plastic card is sufficient. Passport stamp
is a temporary means until one gets the plastic card itself. In the past,
stamp was mostly needed as the card would arrive very late. Nowadays,
after the I485 approval, you get the card in days.

nsi.

Merovingian, the officer name was Cruz.

Helponline - After you have the card, no passport stamp is needed to reenter. You might neeed some other documents if you leave the country for a very long period of time.

ICGWting,
What did that officer email to you? Message that your GC is approved?
I assume every Service center has it's own way. I applied to NSC, and they are updating messages and LUD. I do not expect email from officer, but I would be suprised to get GC without any LUDs or Message updates. We'll see...

Yes, the email stated that the case was approved, GC ordered and would be completed within two weeks (only took a few days).
